Compelling Community. Growing Disciples. Reaching Our Neighbors.

Hope and Humility, I Peter 5

There are two kinds of pride–Healthy pride is when we have an honest estimation of our strengths and weaknesses. We recognize the gifts God has given us and use them with a measure of confidence for His glory. However, there is also an unhealthy pride. This is displayed when we elevate ourselves above others, sometimes even over God. I Peter 5:5 says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Tune in August 9, 10:15 am to hear the sermon, “Hope and Humility” from I Peter 5. The sermon will be livestreamed from the church retreat. You may access it on Facebook or Youtube.
