Our Vision: Faith Academy exists to further the mission of the church by “helping disciples grow in their faith and share their faith.” We will do this by training students to interpret the Bible holistically, teaching students robust theology from a diversity of perspectives, and equipping students with the necessary skills for applying theology to their lives and ministries to others.
We meet on Sundays at 9:15 am in Peterson Hall.
Summer classes are right around the corner! Get ready to jump into some exciting and important topics. Childcare is available during both classes.
Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality
Wednesday nights 6:00-7:30 pm; April 20th-June 8th
Course Description: We will be utilizing a curriculum recommended by the ECC called Grace/Truth. This will help us have “conversations every thoughtful Christian should have about faith, sexuality & gender. Grace/Truth is an interactive, small-group learning experience that introduces Christians to LGBT+ people, the language to use and avoid, a theologically faithful view of marriage and sexuality, and practical guidance on how to embody the love of Christ toward sexual and gender minorities.”
Facilitated by: Sheli Hayes and Gene Frost
Students will need to also purchase the course materials here.
