Holy Week

Maundy Thursday, April 9, 7:00-7:15 pm, via Zoom: Join your church family to remember the last meal Christ shared with his disciples before being arrested. Please have communion elements ready as we will take communion together virtually, each of us in our own home. (If you have not received the Zoom link through an email please contact the church office, office@faithecc.org)

Good Friday Tenebrae Service, April 10, 7:00-7:30pm, Facebook & YouTube: Worship Coordinator, Matthias Austin, will lead us in a traditional Tenebrae service. In a Tenebrae service the flames of  candles are extinguished one by one as Scripture readings are shared to tell the story of Holy Week. This gradual descent into gloom is a representation of Jesus’ increasing sorrow as the events of Passion Week unfolded. After the last verse is read, the last candle is put out, and the room is plunged into darkness. Click here to read more about this meaningful Worship Service.

The service will be presented in video format. You will be able to pause the video to pray, meditate or sing. Here is a list of songs that will help you worship:

O Sacred Head Now Wounded; How Deep the Father’s Love for Us; Once Again; Beneath the Cross of Jesus
