Covid-19 Guidelines

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we assume everyone will self-monitor (and parents monitor their children) for any Covid or flu-like symptoms and will stay home if any are apparent or if anyone in the household has been exposed to Covid-19.

Outdoor Worship Protocol

  • Bring your own chair and set it up socially distant from others (6ft).
  • Masks are encouraged but not required.
  • We ask you to continue to pre-register each week via the link sent in our Life at Faith. This will help us plan if we need to move indoors.

What if we move inside?

We will make the call to move inside about 24 hours in advance. The website will be updated and you should receive an email notifying you. If you registered for the outdoor service but do not wish to attend inside, please promptly cancel your reservation via the confirmation email you received from rsvp.church. If you registered for the outdoor service and still plan to attend inside, you are all set. Your registration will carry over to the indoor service.

Indoor Worship Protocol

  • The aisles will be arranged at a social distance (6ft). Please seat yourself at a social distance from other individuals or groups. Our ushers may assist you in finding a good seat.
  • We anticipate we can fit about 135 people in the sanctuary seated at a social distance (6ft). If the sanctuary fills up, we will overflow to the Lounge and then to Peterson Hall.
  • Masks are required inside the building except for:
    • Those with medical reasons
    • Children under 4 years old
    • The speaker while at the microphone (scripture reader, sermon, benediction, ministry to children)
    • Partaking of the elements of communion
    • When eating or drinking masks may be briefly removed and should be replaced over the nose and mouth as soon as possible.
  • Any other ministry events taking place inside assume these general guidelines of wearing masks and social distancing.

Sunday Morning Children’s Ministry Protocol

Teachers and volunteers will not serve if they are experiencing any Covid or flu-like symptoms or have been exposed to Covid-19.

Infants/Toddlers (birth-age 3):

  • The nursery and toddler room will have a maximum capacity of 12 infants and toddlers total with 3 volunteers. If more children register, the Toddler Sunday School will take place in the 412 Youth rooms to split the group, and volunteers will be added as needed.
  • Social distancing is difficult to maintain with young children. Please do not send your child to the Infants & Toddlers room if you are not comfortable with this.
  • Volunteers and children will use hand sanitizer or wash their hands when entering the room.
  • Masks are not required for children ages 3 and under.
  • Teachers and volunteers will wear masks at all times.
  • Volunteers will wash their hands both before and after changing diapers.
  • Any toy that is put in a child’s mouth will be removed and cleaned after the service.
  • Volunteers will wipe tables and door handles after the service.
  • Each parent will have a separate compartment in which to store their supplies.
  • Parents will not enter the room. Children will be picked up at the door.
  • One parent should drop off and pick up children to limit hallway traffic.

Young Children & Worship Service (ages 4-1st grade)

  • The children’s sanctuary has a maximum capacity of two leaders and 8-10 children, depending on family groupings. If this is exceeded and the 6 feet distancing cannot be maintained appropriately, the service will be moved to the Faith Kids rooms down the hall, which has a capacity of 15 children.
  • Children will wear masks with a brief break for snacks, during which social distancing will be carefully maintained.
  • Teachers will wear masks at all times.
  • Teachers and children will use hand sanitizer when they enter the room.
  • Parents will not enter the room. Children will be escorted to the room by the teacher and picked up from the hallway afterward.
