Compelling Community. Growing Disciples. Reaching Our Neighbors.

Adult Ministries

Due to COVID-19 Sunday morning, Community Hour is not taking place. However, many small groups continue to meet on zoom or with masks and social distancing.

Discipleship is life long and happens best in relationship with others. That is why our Adult Ministry Team invites you to participate in Community Hour and Small Groups.

Community Hour (Sunday Morning)

Community Hour is a time for our community to connect and grow as disciples of Jesus.  It runs from 11:11-12:00 noon during the school year. The variety of activities offered during Community Hour keep it interesting and engaging. The schedule is as follows:

1st Sunday- All-Church Family Meal. Join with every generation to share a meal, connect with friends, and get to know someone new. Children do not have Sunday School and are invited to join as we build inter-generational connections that can last a lifetime.

2nd and 4th Sundays- Community Groups. Get to know a smaller group of people as you discuss the sermon with others. Together, the group shares insights, processes what they heard and seeks to apply it to their lives. The groups meet in several locations throughout the church. They are generally divided up by geographic regions. However, you are free to join any group at any time. If you would like to be assigned a group contact the church office, 630.653.4140.

3rd Sunday-Teaching Sunday. Come hear a guest speaker share on an important topic, often related to the current sermon series.

5th Sunday-Outreach Activity. On 5th Sundays, we plan some type of service project or outreach activity to reach our neighbors in our community with the love and good news of Jesus.

SMALL GROUPS

Small Groups are the hub of discipleship at Faith Covenant. Small groups consist of 8 -12 members who gather for studying God’s Word, getting to know and support each other at a deeper level, praying and sharing in a relaxed setting in a group member’s home. Often meals are shared as well!

Who can belong to a small group? Anyone… younger, older, married or single; small groups at Faith offer people of any age the opportunity to know Jesus better and to connect with others. Whoever you are and whatever stage of life you are in, there is room for you in a small group at Faith.

For more information on our small groups, please contact our small group coordinator Marie Allison, Director of Outreach and Community, outreach@faithecc.org.
