Are you new to Faith Covenant Church or simply want to learn more about who we are? Join us for our Foundations Class, a great opportunity to discover what Faith Covenant is all about.

Whether you're exploring church membership or just curious, this class is the first step in getting connected. We’ll cover:

• Our church’s mission and core values

• The history and beliefs of the Evangelical Covenant Church

• How to get connected to life in Christ and community here at Faith

We’re excited to celebrate new life in Christ at our upcoming Baptism Sunday! If you’ve recently decided to follow Jesus or have never been baptized, this is a beautiful opportunity to take that next step of faith. Join us in witnessing and supporting those making this public declaration of their faith.

Join us for a 1-day Women's Retreat on Saturday, November 1st from 9:30am to 3:00pm at Faith Covenant Church! The theme this year is "One Day in His Courts." We hope this day will be a balm for every woman that attends, giving her the time and space to connect to God and connect with other women in community.

This year, high school students are also invited to join in for the day! Cost is $35 and will cover an amazing lunch and optional painting workshop led by Sarah Johnston!

Following worship on November 9, Pastor Eliza and Stephanie Clark will lead a discussion of this month's Liturgical Common Read of Welcoming the Stranger. Lunch will be provided! RSVP below so we can make sure there is enough food for everyone.

We are so thankful for Pastor Nate and Pastor Eliza! Following worship this week, the Care Team will have a table set up with cards and envelopes so we can let our pastors know how loved they are.

We need more adults to sign up to be a prayer warrior for a child in the church this year! You will receive an official prayer card featuring one of the kids in the church and commit to praying for them at least once a week throughout the school year.

Would your child (birth-high school) benefit from intentional prayer this year? Fill out a few questions for the prayer card that will be given to an adult in the church.

• Pray for our follow-up faculty gathering as we begin discussing David and Jamie Smith’s Teaching and Christian Practices as a continuation of last year’s focus on understanding our secular age and how to engage with this current generation of students in classroom. This book is a collection of great essays on how to utilize historic Christian practices to reshape and redirect pedagogical strategies.
• Pray for my one-on-one pastoral care meetings with Christian faculty.
• Pray for our family as we navigate the business of life with three teenagers!

Caring Network Event: You're invited to the Caring Network's Annual Night for Life on October 23rd! If you are interested, please talk to Ray and Jane Hinsch who are also planning to attend.

Looking for Affordable Housing: Many of you may know that I was looking for new housing arrangements last year before my lease expired. It now has become a necessity to find an affordable place to live.  I have lived independently, but at this time would prefer renting a room w/in a home, sharing an apartment w/ someone else you may know, or at the very least a more affordable single studio or one bedroom apartment.
My hope is "this new living arrangement" to remain in the area of Wheaton or close by so I don't lose Faith Covenant and that doesn't require me to find a whole new medical team, losing the great providers I have now. I also no longer can afford my rent as I have had to cut my hours at work due to health needs.
