Dupage County Senior Citizen Real Estate Tax Deferral: The DuPage County Treasurer's office has a program to help senior citizens who qualify with a real estate tax deferral or an assessment freeze to help with rising costs. Please call the DuPage County Supervisor of Assessments at (630)407-5858 or access their website via this link. for program information and applications. Application deadline is February 27, 2026. Support for a recent graduate of Aurora Christian: a young woman connected to Aurora Christian Schools is in need of some help getting on her feet without family support. A teacher who is in contact with the young woman is asking for the following help: 1) support getting her drivers license (covering cost or a connection to driving lessons at a cheaper rate than the normal cost), 2) housing that is free or affordable for her low income (she works in Oswego so being close to her job would be ideal), 3) pray for this young woman to walk faithfully with God as she has recently rededicated her life to Christ. Contact Stephanie Mahn if you feel led to support this young woman or have any questions. Looking for Affordable Housing: Many of you may know that I was looking for new housing arrangements last year before my lease expired. It now has become a necessity to find an affordable place to live. I have lived independently, but at this time would prefer renting a room w/in a home, sharing an apartment w/ someone else you may know, or at the very least a more affordable single studio or one bedroom apartment.
